How We Ship
Every letter travels through the United States Postal Service. For anything headed beyond the US, their overseas partners carry it the rest of the way.
When Your Letter Get Mailed
Mystic Mail runs on a once-a-month rhythm. Across the weeks I write each letter, then fold and seal it by hand, and everything leaves together on the final day of the month. When that day falls on a weekend or a holiday, your letter goes out the next working day.
Handwork like this takes a little time, and I'm grateful you'll wait while yours is readied for the trip to you.
Shipping Costs
Shipping is included in your subscription. No surprises at checkout, no add-ons at renewal.
- United States (Domestic): Refer To Current Products
- International: Refer To Current Products
The international rate reflects the higher cost of overseas postage.
Delivery Timeframes
Once a letter leaves my hands and enters the postal stream, how long it takes depends on where you live, how busy your local post happens to be, and the time of year. Any dates I mention are honest estimates rather than promises. After the post office takes it, the journey belongs to them, not to me.
Address Accuracy
You're responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout. Please double-check your street, apartment/unit number, city, postal code, and country before placing your order. Letters sent to incorrect or incomplete addresses may be delayed, returned, or lost in transit, and we're unable to guarantee replacements in those cases.
Returned-to-Sender Mail
If a letter is returned to us by USPS, for example due to an incorrect address, unclaimed mail, or a refused delivery, we'll do our best to reach out to you using the email address on your order to confirm an updated mailing address.
Once we hear back, we'll re-send your letter. A small re-postage fee may apply to cover the second mailing. If we don't hear back within 30 days, we're unable to guarantee that the letter can still be re-sent.
Lost or Undelivered Mail
If your letter hasn't arrived within 3 weeks of mailing (domestic) or 5 weeks of mailing (international), please reach out via our Contact Us page and we'll do our best to help.
If a letter never arrives, or turns up damaged, write to me and I'll usually send a fresh one, up to a single replacement in any given month. A few things help me make it right:
- Reach out no later than eight weeks after the letter was posted.
- For anything that arrived torn or spoiled, include a photo of both the envelope and what was inside.
- Because each month is made in a small batch, a new copy may not match the first exactly, and some pieces depend on what I still have on hand.
- If that eight-week window closes without a word from you, I'm no longer able to send a replacement.
Customs, Duties & Import Taxes
For international orders, any customs fees, duties, import taxes, or VAT charged by your country are the recipient's responsibility. These charges are set by your local customs authority and are not included in the cost of your subscription. Please check with your country's customs office if you're unsure what may apply.
