✦ What's inside your Field Guide ✦
Human Design is a way of looking at how you're built. From your birth date, time and place it shows where your steady energy comes from, how you make your best decisions, and what wears you out. Once you can see that on paper, you can stop pushing against the way you naturally work and start working with it.
A lot of Human Design stops at a free chart: a drawing with numbers on it and no idea what to do next. Your Field Guide takes every piece of your own chart and says what it means at home, with friends and at work, and what to do about it.
Your chart, every piece explained
This is the bodygraph from one guide, the drawing the whole report is built on. Tap any of the nine centers to see what it handles. Your guide gives each of yours its own page. (Below is an example chart)
The nine centers
Each center handles one kind of energy. Tap one to see what it does, and whether it's colored in or white on this chart.

Chapter by chapter
Seventeen chapters, 100+ pages, every one of them written from your own chart. Four of the first pages, small, and then the list.

What to try first.
Human Design at home, with friends and at work
Most Human Design books tell you what a gate means and stop there. In your guide every channel and every gate ends with an In real life box: three short paragraphs that each describe something you'd recognize from last week and say what to do with it. Here is one, for gate 7, from one guide. If a line doesn't sound like you, cross it out and keep going.
In real life
At home. Everyone in your household keeps arguing about chores, and finally they ask you to sort it out. Gate 7 sits in your G center, the center of identity and direction, and it guides a group best once the group has asked and everyone gets a say. Ask each person which chores they mind least, then draw up a schedule from their answers. Since everyone picked their part, the schedule is easier to keep.
Every channel and gate in your chart has a box like this. Most charts have 20 to 30 of them.
Which page, when
Most days you won't read it front to back. The guide opens with a table that matches the day you're having to the page to read. Pick a day.

How I use Human Design to plan my week
Okay, so I'm a Projector, and for most of my life I didn't know that. People think I'm an extrovert, because I can keep up with everyone for hours, and then I crash and all I want is to be a hermit for a while. I used to think I was doing something wrong. Then I saw my chart, and there it was on paper. Projectors are really open, we absorb a lot of what's going on around us, and we're not built to run all day the way the people around us do.
That one page changed how I plan my week. When I'm tired I let myself be a hermit, and when I have energy I'm out with my people, and I don't apologize for either one anymore. That's what I want this guide to do for you. It's your own chart, explained the way I'd explain it over coffee, so the next time you wonder why a certain week wore you out, you can open it and see why.
How I use Human Design to make decisions
My authority is what Human Design calls a sounding board, and it fits me so well it's kind of funny. I don't get a gut yes or no. I have to talk a decision over with someone I trust, and somewhere in the middle of hearing myself say it out loud, I know. So that's what I do now. When something comes up I don't decide on the spot. I call a friend, I talk it through, and I pay attention to how it sounds coming out of my mouth and where I am when it feels clear.

Your authority may be nothing like mine. There are seven kinds, and your guide shows yours with the steps drawn out, so you can try it on something small this week.

✦ How you're wired ✦
The daily-life chapter takes your chart out of the diagram and into an ordinary Tuesday. One page for each part of your life, with a drawing on each page and one thing to try.
Every page is written from your own type, authority and centers. A Projector's work page says things a Generator's never would, and two Generators with different centers get different pages too. The same goes for family, money and rest. The drawings below are from the pages of one guide.

Decisions
How you make a decision, drawn as a path, and the small choices to practice on.

Rest and energy
Knowing when to stop, and what real rest looks like for you.

Work
How you work best, which days to push and which to leave open.

Relationships
The people close to you: who steadies you, who wears you out, and why.

Family
The people you didn't choose, and how your chart meets theirs.

Time and money
How much is really in your day, how money tends to come to your type, and what to do when it's tight.

Speaking up
Being heard: when to say it, and when to wait.

Home and routines
Your place and your week, and the routines that fit your design.

Taking care of yourself
Looking after yourself when you're used to looking after everyone else, with a question for each white center.
Your guide comes with a second copy sized for your phone, at no extra cost.
Bonus
The phone copy
Your whole guide, sized for mobile, so it's with you when a decision comes up.
The same words as the print copy, laid out one column at a time for a phone screen. Open it in a waiting room, or on the bus on the way to a hard conversation.

The phone copy comes as its own PDF, on the same thank-you page and in the same email.
